Three sweet girls | Kitchener-Waterloo Newborn Photographer

I put this picture on my Facebook Page not so long ago (go over and hit ‘like’ if you haven’t already!) but I haven’t shared it here.

I got to do a newborn shoot with this precious angel in April. I have two older sisters myself so this was special :) This goes without saying, but little baby D is going to have two wonderful protectors, playmates and special relationships with her sisters as she grows. I just hope their Mama has lots of energy for what’s in store!

Life Stories Series: The Story of Saturday Morning Play | Kitchener-Waterloo child photographer

I really delight in the little things when it comes to my children. Those little details that are outgrown and forgotten all too quickly. So when I saw my sunshine had dressed herself and brought some toys to play with on the bed, I grabbed my camera to capture the pieces of her that I don’t want to forget. The way her hair fluffs out 2.4 milliseconds after being brushed, making her look like she hasn’t seen a hair brush for days. The way her mouth pouts softly, her eyebrows furrow and her toes tense when she’s concentrating. She has the most wonderful imagination (who would’ve thought the littlest petshop pets had a license to operate heavy machinery?!) and she brightens up my days with her funny antics. This is my Sunshine. The bits of her right now that I want to hold onto forever.

What is it that these life stories are about, you might ask?

Ever see a photographer who starts out with a 365 day project, or even a 52 week project and never finishes? Yeah, me too. Well, I recently joined a group of a few other busy photographers who decided to commit to a 12 month project! If we fail this, we’ll be taking donations for a time management seminar. We’re calling the series “The Story of ________” and we’ll each be filling in our own blanks. At the end of this post is a link to another photographer who participated and she’ll be linking to someone else. It’s a whole big circle of stories in pictures. Click through and enjoy!

Next up in the circle is the awesome Jen Reif. Be sure to check out her Story for the month!
